RIZOMA - PROGUARD SYSTEM®April 20, 2012 Share it
Due to the specific need to protect the brake and clutch levers, as well as to the influence of aerodynamic flow or any accidental contact with other bodies, Rizoma has created the PROGUARD SYSTEM.
Unique in its kind, the PROGUARD SYSTEM has been developed with technical solutions, which can assure the proper functioning in the most critical circumstances, which may occur both on the track during race competition and on the street in the middle of city traffic.
Here are the main characteristics, which distinguish it from what has been done before: small dimensions to protect the controls and at the same time to assure a maximum freedom of movement and a better riding feeling; just one single point of fitment compared to the traditional two points; designed to prevent hand or wrist being trapped in event of fall; a wide range of adjustments to meet all needs of both the rider and the bike; universal applicability, i.e. it can be fitted on any type of handlebar; innovative design that transfers aggressive lines to the bike.
The authenticity and efficiency of PROGUARD SYSTEM has been recognized in competition at the highest levels. In fact, after the introduction of the requirement for lever protection in the FIM regulations, the Proguard System not only has been approved by the committees of safety, but it is currently used by almost all the participants in the World Championship Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP. Furthermore, ProGuard use is rapidly growing among the teams participating in the World Superstock, Supersport and Superbike.
The Proguard System in numbers:
1: years of research and development
2: years of experience on the race track in the world’s top championships
60: teams involved in its development and use in the MotoGP and World Superbike Championships
100: riders who are successfully using it at present
300: hours of design
1000: hours of testing
70.000: Km on the track
Save your life, think about your safety, fit the PROGUARD SYSTEM on your bike, too.
