To introduce ourselves to the world of cycling, we chose to start on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In motorcycling, Rizoma has made its name with components in which design, innovation and precision are expressions of the same pursuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around this vision, a community of enthusiasts has grown\u2014people who know how to spot a detail. And recognise its value.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

With R21, we bring this heritage into the extreme minimalism of the road bike. A world where every gram counts, every element must justify its presence, and adding something means, first and foremost, proving that it deserves to be there.<\/strong> The challenge was not simply to design a new product.
It was to enter a culture.
In cycling, looking back to check on a riding companion or an approaching vehicle is second nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A rear-view lens, on the other hand, has no place in the road-cycling imagination.<\/strong> To someone looking in from the outside, that may seem like a surprising omission. To those who ride, it is often simply the way things have always been done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That very idea\u2014that \u201cit\u2019s always been done this way\u201d\u2014was what we wanted to question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We designed a lightweight, discreet rear-view lens with ZEISS\u00ae optical quality. An object that lets you see what is happening behind you without having to turn around every time you check, while keeping your position on the bike.
It does not replace looking back when you need to. It adds another option.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But no technical description can fully convey what changes once you start using it. Before asking cyclists to change their habits, we changed our own rules of communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We took to the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We fitted R21 to bikes and let people judge it in the way they ride. We listened to their doubts, gathered their impressions and met cyclists who were sceptical at first, then fell in love with it after trying it. That is where the idea for a format began.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

R21 Experience is a test ride for anyone curious enough to try before deciding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We invite cyclists to experience the product in its natural environment and tell its story from their own point of view.<\/strong>
Rizoma brings the product. The rider finds the words. There are no scripts or suggested answers. Just expectations before setting off, sensations along the way and conversations on the return. With R21 Experience, we tell the story of what we have designed through the eyes of the people who use it, leaving room for what we did not expect, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
